Post-Acne Treatment (RecoSMA® + Target Creation Technology®)

LINLINE addresses post-acne with two complementary treatments on the MULTILINE™ base unit:

  1. RecoSMA® to rebuild skin quality (texture, tone, early/established post-acne scars);
  2. Target Creation Technology® (TCT) to clear the vascular component—the red post-acne spots (post-inflammatory erythema).
These two treatments can be performed in the same visit (see “Same-session option”), or staged across separate appointments based on the clinical plan.

Why this plan works

  • Treat the cause of the red color. Redness after acne is vascular. TCT uses a two-wavelength, pulse-train sequence (540/1079 nm) to create a selective intravascular “target” and then coagulate only the dilated vessel, sparing surrounding skin. The on-table endpoint is visible darkening of the vessel/spot (not instant disappearance).
  • Rebuild the field, not just the surface. RecoSMA® (Er:YAG + SMA module) delivers thousands of ≤50 µm micro-beams that cause surface micro-ablations and deep, non-thermal acoustic micro-stimulation. Studies show increased dermal/SMAS thickness and collagen I/III/IV—signals of genuine remodeling rather than fibrosis.

What we treat

  • Post-inflammatory erythema (red acne marks): TCT targets and fades the vascular component that keeps spots looking red.
  • Post-acne scars & texture: RecoSMA® improves surface relief, elasticity, and overall quality; suitable for early and established post-acne changes.

Same-session option (when the clinician opts to combine)

  • Sequence: Perform TCT first on focal red marks (achieve darkening without frosting), then deliver RecoSMA® to the broader acne-affected field.
  • Why this order: TCT benefits from a clear view of vessels/erythema; RecoSMA® adds short, barrier-sparing field stimulation afterward without obscuring TCT endpoints.
  • Parameter hygiene: use program presets; avoid pulse stacking on TCT spots; apply standard RecoSMA® densities/coverage with attention to recent TCT areas.
  • Alternative: treatments can be staged (e.g., TCT today; RecoSMA® in 2–3 weeks) if downtime planning or lesion pattern suggests.

What a visit is like (patient view)

  • TCT for redness: brief warm tingling; treated red spots darken, then fade over days to weeks. Avoid heat/steam for a few days and follow simple sun guidance for 2 weeks.
  • RecoSMA® for texture/scars: usually no anaesthesia; expect several social days of bronzing/micro-dots, then shedding. Results accumulate over 1–3 months as remodeling progresses.

Practitioner essentials

TCT (vascular component / red spots)

  • Emitter: Nd:YAP/KTP 1079/540 nm, Q-switched pulse trains.
  • Sequence: 1079 nm “prep” → 540 nm target creation → 1079 nm target-selective coagulation.
  • Endpoint: darkening (avoid frosting). Intervals: face every 2–3 weeks; course ~1–5 sessions depending on burden.

RecoSMA® (field remodeling)

  • Emitter/module: Er:YAG 2.94 µm + SMA. Micro-spot ≤50 µm, densities up to ~10,000/cm².
  • Evidence: ultrasound/histology show dermis/SMAS thickening and collagen I/III/IV increase at ~90 days. Downtime typically 3–7 days

Results & course planning

  • Red marks (TCT): darkening persists 5 days–several weeks, then fades through the course; plan 1–5 sessions at 2–3-week intervals for facial P.I.E.
  • Texture/scars (RecoSMA®): visible smoothing and tone improvement within weeks; maximal change ~90 days post-session; series and spacing are individualized by scar burden and downtime tolerance.

Safety

  • TCT: selective intravascular action helps protect surrounding skin; stick to endpoint discipline and sun guidance to minimize PIH risk.
  • RecoSMA®: non-thermal, barrier-sparing mechanism with short recovery; cohorts report no scarring or long-standing PIH when protocols and aftercare are respected.

Benefits at a glance

For patients

  • Targeted fading of red marks (TCT) plus global quality improvements (RecoSMA®).
  • Natural-looking results with minimal downtime and low scarring/PIH risk under protocol.
  • Option to combine in one visit or stage over time—tailored to your goals and schedule.

For practitioners

  • Two precise tools for the post-acne triad: erythema, texture, scars.
  • Clear endpoints & presets (TCT darkening; RecoSMA® density/coverage) for reproducible outcomes.
  • Platform simplicity: swap emitters on the MULTILINE™ base unit to combine or stage care efficiently.

Key takeaway

LINLINE’s post-acne pathway pairs TCT to treat vascular redness with RecoSMA® to rebuild the skin—available in the same session or staged—delivering clearer tone, smoother texture, and healthier-looking skin over time on the MULTILINE™ platform.
