Overview

The Er:YAG emitter covers two modes on the same hardware:

  1. Cold Er:YAG ablation at ~2.94 μm for precise, layer-by-layer tissue removal with minimal residual coagulation.
  2. RecoSMA® mode when the SMA (Spatially Modulated Ablation) module is attached—delivering micro-ablative beams at the surface while inducing deep, non-thermal micro-effects that stimulate reparative regeneration.

How it works

  • Cold Er:YAG ablation: ultra-short pulses match the water absorption peak so each pass removes a thin layer under visual control without deep thermal injury.
  • RecoSMA® (Er:YAG + SMA module): the beam splits into thousands of micro-beams. Surface micro-explosions launch acoustic waves that interact in depth, creating pinpoint micro-injuries surrounded by intact tissue to trigger fibroblast activity, angiogenesis, and orderly tissue renewal.
