Ruby 694 nm (Q-Switched) — Pigmented Lesions & Tattoo Emitter

Overview
The Ruby 694 nm emitter targets melanin-rich skin lesions and specific tattoo pigments on the MULTILINE™ base unit. Its short, high-peak-power pulses fragment pigment while aiming to spare surrounding skin.
How it works
- Pigmented lesions (Pinpoint Coagulation™): Nanosecond pulse trains concentrate heat only where melanin granules are densest, selectively coagulating pigment-laden cells while preserving normally pigmented skin.
- Tattoo removal (Deep Acoustic Wave™): In DAW workflows, Ruby’s 694 nm pulses participate in layer-by-layer photoacoustic fragmentation. Each micro-pulse helps open a “dye-free gateway,” so subsequent pulses reach deeper ink with less collateral trauma.
Best-fit indications
- Pigment: lentigines (age spots), freckles, selected epidermal/mixed/dermal hyperpigmentation.
- Tattoo: black/blue/green inks and stubborn dark tones, as part of a multi-wavelength DAW plan (paired with 755 nm, 540 nm, and/or 1079 nm modules for full-color sets).
Patient experience
The treatments do not require anaesthesia. The treated pigmented lesions darken first and then peel off within 7-10 days. For tattoos, expect gradual lightening between sessions as the body clears fragmented ink.
Why clinics choose Ruby
- Strong coupling to melanin and many dark inks
- Works with Pinpoint Coagulation™ (pigment) and DAW (tattoo)
- Plug-and-play on the MULTILINE™ base unit with indication-oriented presets
